Pigna

In Sicilian tradition, the pine cone "pigna" is a symbol of abundance and health. A symbol reproduced with ceramic sculptures on the doors of churches, on the gates of villas, and even on the thrones of kings and pontiffs. A sort of metaphorical bridge between human and divine.
